Four Seasons Hotel New York reopens

Four Seasons New York

Four Seasons Hotel New York in Midtown Manhattan has reopened. The hotel, housed in a 52-story, Art Deco building designed by famed architect IM Pei, had been closed since March 2020 at the onset of the pandemic, with renovations cited for the delay of the opening.

“As the iconic Four Seasons Hotel New York makes its highly anticipated return, we are excited to celebrate alongside loyal guests and those who will enter its doors for the first time,” said Rainer Stampfer, president, global operations, hotels and resorts, Four Seasons. “This hotel has long represented the epitome of luxury hospitality and, together with our longtime partner Ty Warner, we will shape the next chapter in the continuing story of this magnificent hotel.”

The property is located on 57th Street between Madison and Park Avenues, close to Central Park, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Plaza and more.

“Since we announced our reopening date less than a month ago, we’ve received overwhelming interest from new guests looking to experience the hotel for the first time and loyal guests who can’t wait to stay and dine with us again and return to their beloved Manhattan address, their home away from home,” said GM Michal Dedera. “With so many familiar faces ready to welcome our guests back, it’s a wonderful start to the holiday season as we all come together once again.”

Central to architect Pei’s vision is the grand lobby with its 33-ft. glass ceiling and honey-toned marble floors and columns enhanced with sculptural florals.

Rooms and suites range from 500 sq. ft. to full-floor specialty suites at 4,300 sq. ft., with higher floors offering panoramic views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline. Newly refined in-room beverage bars now feature drinks and bites from nearby purveyors, as well as premium coffees from Italy’s Lavazza brand.

Crowning the hotel is the Ty Warner Penthouse on the 52nd floor, which costs $80,000 per night.

In the coming year, the property will open a selection of rooms and suites for extended stays that will be equipped with expanded kitchen facilities and connecting room options.

The hotel offers two food and beverage outlets, The Garden, which overlooks the grand lobby and 57th Street, and TY Bar, as well as more than 15,000 sq. ft. of meeting & event space. An enhanced spa will open next year.
