Access Hospitality Research Highlights Impact of “Toggle Tax” on Hoteliers

HOUSTON, Texas—U.S. hoteliers are losing the equivalent of 42 days each year to the daily “toggle tax” of disconnected systems, as teams switch between platforms, duplicate tasks, and manually combine data across the business. The latest research from Access Hospitality found that hotels operate across an average of five systems, with managers spending 78 minutes a day on average switching between platforms or stitching data together—equivalent to over 42 days lost annually per staff member, based on a five-day working week.
