Danika Smith-Josiah promoted at Scarlett Hotel Group
Scarlett Hotel Group (SHG) has promoted Danika Smith-Josiah to regional VP of operations.
After starting at SHG four years ago, her leadership skills demonstrate the skill set required to move into an executive position, the company reports. This role will provide support, training and guidance to hotel general managers nationwide in SHG’s growing hospitality portfolio.
In her new role, Smith-Josiah will lead the hotel managers of SHG’s portfolio of hotels, providing guidance and direction in all areas including property maintenance, asset protection, guest service, sales, accounting and budgeting.
Smith-Josiah has a successful background in hospitality leadership. After working at InterContinental Hotels Group as a corporate trainer and general manager for nearly 10 years, Smith-Josiah made the move to SHG in 2018. She began as a general manager of one of SHG’s properties in Sarasota, FL, and soon was promoted to director of learning and development, where she spearheaded a variety of development programs for SHG leaders to ultimately help the company increase profit and revenue, market share, client retention rates and employee satisfaction ratings.
